The Rainwater NW 340 is a Made in Belgium system specially engineered for facilities requiring high flow rates and for water sources with heavy contamination loads (well water, rainwater harvesting systems). Offering two different housing and connection options, it delivers an impressive water flow of 10 to 12 m³ per hour. Its special centrifugal (cyclonic) technology separates coarse sediment by centrifugal force and directs it to the bottom of the bowl, preventing premature clogging of the filter. Combined with different micron ratings, it provides an ideal basis for staged filtration (coarse first, then fine).
Provides maximum compatibility with 1 1/4″ (10 m³/h) or 1 1/2″ (12 m³/h) connection and housing options to suit your project's flow requirements.
Installed singly on mains water, or in series (staged) on well water and rainwater, it is the ideal system for reducing a heavy sediment load step by step.
Its advanced cyclonic design separates heavy sediment before it touches the filter element, minimising operating and maintenance costs.
With a huge surface area of up to 1010 cm², it maximises dirt-holding capacity and significantly extends filter replacement intervals.

Pressure loss (bar) by flow rate; shows how much pressure loss the filter causes at each flow rate.

The bowl and filter element can be removed for easy cleaning or replacement.

Sand, mud, rust and sediment carried in mains, well or rainwater wear down plumbing, pumps and downstream purification equipment. The NW 340 is a sediment pre-filter fitted at the water inlet that mechanically traps these solid particles.
For well and rainwater systems, staged filtration and industrial facilities. With a 1 1/4” or 1 1/2” connection, it provides an average flow rate of 10 / 12 m³/h.
As water passes through the filter element, the 25-micron pores let the water through and trap larger particles; this is an entirely physical, not chemical, straining process. The multi-layer filter structure holds dirt better even under heavy sediment loads, and the large filtration surface provides high flow and low pressure loss.
On its own, a sediment filter does not remove dissolved chemicals such as chlorine, or microorganisms; for that, it is used as a pre-filter ahead of softening, activated carbon, reverse osmosis and UV systems, protecting them.
It is installed on the water inlet line. The filter element can be cleaned or replaced; you can tell the filter is full when the pressure difference increases and the flow drops. The product is covered by a 2+8 year warranty.

It mechanically traps solid particles in the water such as sand, mud, rust and sediment, protecting the plumbing and downstream purification equipment.
No. A sediment filter only traps solid particles; chlorine requires activated carbon, and microorganisms require UV or reverse osmosis.
With a 1 1/4” or 1 1/2” connection, it provides an average flow rate of 10 / 12 m³/h.
As the filter fills up, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet increases and the flow drops; this indicates that it is time for cleaning or replacement.
It is covered by a 2+8 year warranty.
