The Rainwater NW 500 has been developed for businesses seeking “maximum performance” in industrial water management. While mechanically trapping particles in the water such as sand, silt, rust and mud, its special centrifugal (cyclonic) technology uses centrifugal force to separate coarse sediment, maximising filter life. Built with Made in Belgium engineering, the NW 500 safeguards your sensitive process equipment, delivering low pressure loss and consistent water quality even at high flow rates, thanks in particular to its bag filter design.
Optimised to operate at very high flow rates and with heavy sediment loads; maintenance and replacement are quick and practical.
Its advanced cyclonic design directs large particles to the bottom of the bowl before they touch the filter element, reducing operating costs.
With an average flow capacity of 18 m³/h, it serves large-scale production lines without water interruptions or pressure loss.
Its large 1288 cm² surface area maximises particle-holding capacity and extends service intervals.

Pressure loss (bar) by flow rate; shows how much pressure loss the filter causes at each flow rate.

The bowl and filter element can be removed for easy cleaning or replacement.

Sand, mud, rust and sediment carried in mains, well or rain water wear out plumbing, pumps and the purification equipment downstream. The NW 500 is a sediment pre-filter fitted at the water inlet that mechanically traps these solid particles.
Heavy industry, industrial processes and large production facilities. With a 2” connection, it provides an average flow rate of 18 m³/h.
As water passes through the filter element, the 25-micron pores let the water through and trap larger particles; this is an entirely physical, not chemical, straining process. The multi-layer filter structure holds dirt better even under heavy sediment loads, and the large filtration surface provides high flow and low pressure loss.
On its own, a sediment filter does not remove dissolved chemicals such as chlorine, or microorganisms; for that, it is used as a pre-filter ahead of softening, activated carbon, reverse osmosis and UV systems, protecting them.
It is installed on the water inlet line. The filter element can be cleaned or replaced; you can tell the filter is full when the pressure difference increases and the flow drops. The product is covered by a 2+8-year warranty.

It mechanically traps solid particles in the water such as sand, mud, rust and sediment, protecting the plumbing and downstream purification equipment.
No. A sediment filter only traps solid particles; chlorine requires activated carbon, and microorganisms require UV or reverse osmosis.
With a 2” connection, it provides an average flow rate of 18 m³/h.
As the filter fills up, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet increases and the flow drops; this indicates that it is time for cleaning or replacement.
It is covered by a 2+8-year warranty.
