High-capacity RO purification system for businesses

The Rainwater RO 500 20 Inch is an electric reverse osmosis system in the Rainwater range, developed for businesses' drinking water purification needs. With its 20″ housing design, 5-membrane filtration system and integrated pump, it aims to deliver reliable purified water performance in high-use areas.

  • High daily capacity

With a purification capacity of 1600 L/day, it meets the demands of intensive business use.

  • 5-membrane design

Delivers stable purification performance with a total membrane capacity of 5 x 100 GPD = 200 GPD.

  • 20″ filtration housing system

Provides powerful pre-filtration with 20″ Matt Blue Housings (2 units) and a 20″ Transparent Housing (1 unit).

  • Multi-stage filtration

Delivers superior water quality with a 20″ 5-Micron Spun (Sediment) Filter, a 20″ GAC Carbon Cartridge Filter (UDF), a 20″ Block Carbon Cartridge Filter (CTO) and a 12″ Coconut Post-Carbon Filter.

Highlights

  • Membrane technology

The pump passes the water through the membrane; dissolved substances are separated out.

  • Multi-stage pre-filtration

Spun, GAC and block carbon filters protect the membrane.

RO 500 Series 20″ Filtration System

Multi-Layer Hyperfiltration Technology

  1. Through the connection, mains water first enters the pre-filter, which has 5-micron pores. The job of this high-tech filter is to remove coarse impurities in the water, that is, sediment such as dust, sand, algae and insects, down to 5 microns. Even after the sediment filter has captured suspended particles and bacteria larger than 5 microns and the water has become much clearer, it may still contain some microorganisms, dissolved chemicals and minerals.

  2. The water then reaches the carbon block filter. The job of the carbon block filter is to remove organic matter that causes unpleasant taste, odour and colour, as well as chlorine and any gaseous odours in the water. It makes the water tastier, clearer and odourless. It filters the water, which the sediment filter has filtered down to 5 microns, to a precision of 1 micron, providing advanced filtration.

  3. Hyperfiltration, the heart of the system, has a semi-permeable membrane structure. It operates at a pressure of at least 2.5 atmospheres. Its pores measure between 8 and 10 angstroms. Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, nitrate, arsenic and copper that may be dissolved in the water, as well as other chemicals or contaminants such as bacteria and limescale, have no chance of passing through this semi-permeable membrane, whose pores are about a millionth of a millimetre. Only water molecules and anions and cations beneficial to human health pass through this filter.

  4. Finally, on its way from the tank to the tap, the water reaches the alkaline filter, whose performance is doubled by the use of ceramic and coconut shell, to gain flavour. This filter's job is to remove odour-causing substances, prevent the formation of microorganisms and balance the pH of the drinking water between 8.5 and 9.0. Enriched with silver ions to improve its taste and with its alkaline pH raised, the water becomes rich in calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, iron, phosphorus and other minerals that nourish our bodies.

Product description

In a staff kitchen, café or canteen, purified water is needed all day for drinking, tea, coffee and ice; domestic under-counter units cannot keep up with this pace. The RO 500 Series 20″ is an electric reverse osmosis system developed for businesses, with a purification capacity of 1600 litres a day.

Who is the RO 500 Series 20″ for?

Cafés, canteens, staff kitchens, offices, factories and construction sites. It can be used with mains, well and artesian water.

How does it work?

The water first passes through the filters in the 20″ housings: the 5-micron spun (sediment) filter traps sediment, mud and sand; the GAC carbon filter traps chlorine, unpleasant odours and organic compounds; and the block carbon (CTO) filter traps smaller particles and taste and odour problems. The pump then passes the water through the 5 × 100 GPD membranes. In the final stage, the coconut shell post-carbon filter refines the taste of the water.

What does it offer in daily use?

  • 1600 litres of purified water a day
  • Less limescale and a cleaner aroma in tea and coffee machines
  • Clearer ice in ice machines
  • Can be connected to existing water dispensers
  • Quick and easy filter replacement

Installation, maintenance and warranty
