The Rainwater RWS 80 Tandem is a powerful water softening system designed for homes, offices and high-consumption businesses. With 2 FRP tanks, 160 L of mineral resin and a maximum service flow rate of 3.2 m³/h, it reduces limescale caused by hard water and helps plumbing and equipment work more efficiently.
The twin-tank design provides more balanced, continuity-focused water softening performance in high-consumption use cases.
160 L of mineral resin helps capture hardness minerals effectively and contributes to more stable water quality.
With the RWS 80 control mechanism, the regeneration process is managed by the system, reducing the need for user intervention.
By reducing limescale build-up, it helps protect equipment such as combi boilers, water heaters, washing machines and dishwashers.

System status and salt level are monitored, and maintenance notifications are sent.

A complete modular system can be built with a pre-filter, carbon and UV.

Hard water leaves limescale in the plumbing and in every appliance that uses water; over time it narrows pipes and reduces the efficiency of boilers and machines. The Rainwater RWS 80 is a water softening system that reduces the hardness of the water entering a building or facility using the ion exchange method.
For homes, offices and high-consumption businesses. It offers 2 FRP tanks (13” × 54”), 160 L of mineral resin and a maximum service flow rate of 3.2 m³/h.
As water passes through the resin-filled tank, calcium and magnesium ions are held in the resin and the softened water goes to the plumbing. When the resin is saturated, the system automatically recharges itself with the solution from the brine tank (regeneration), then backwashes and rinses. In the twin-tank tandem design, one tank works while the other is regenerating, so the supply of soft water is never interrupted.
The system is installed at the water inlet of the building or facility, with the right capacity selected for your needs. If required, it can be completed modularly with sediment, carbon and UV filters. Contact us for capacity selection, installation and maintenance.

No. Salt is only used to recharge the resin and is discharged to the drain during regeneration; the water does not become salty.
