    Particle Removal: Sediment Filter

    The first step in the purification process of tap water is a pre-filter with a pore size of 5 microns. This high-tech sediment filter effectively traps coarse impurities in the water, such as dust, sand, algae, and insects. As a result, all suspended solids and bacteria larger than 5 microns are separated from the water, leaving it quite clear. However, at this stage, some microorganisms, dissolved chemicals, and minerals may still be present in the water. Therefore, the sediment filter is the first and critical step in the water purification process.

    Water passing through the sediment filter is then directed to the block carbon filter.     Semi-purified water is directed to the hyperfiltration cartridge, which is the heart of the system.
