Carboy Use is Prohibited
Many countries have introduced various bans and restrictions on BPA due to its potential risks to health. BPA is a chemical with hormone disrupting properties and is considered particularly risky for children and infants.
- Canada: One of the first countries to classify BPA as a toxic substance and ban its use in baby bottles. Canada has also banned infant formula packaging containing BPA.
- France: Banned the use of BPA in infant products in 2013 and in all food contact products in 2015.
- Denmark: In 2010, temporarily banned the use of BPA in food contact products for children under 3 years of age.
- Belgium and Sweden: These countries have similarly banned the use of BPA in baby products.
- European Union: In 2011, it banned the use of BPA in baby bottles and decided to ban the use of BPA in all food contact materials by 2024.
